Bila Kofia is more than a villa — it is the result of a shared dream between our Swedish and Tanzanian family. Created as a place where people can slow down, reconnect, and experience the beauty of Zanzibar in comfort and privacy, Bila Kofia offers a home-away-from-home in one of the world's most beautiful destinations.
Rooted in community
We believe travel can be meaningful and that tourism should create a positive impact for both visitors and local communities.
For many years, our family has supported projects for children and young people in Tanzania through our foundation, Tumainis Vänner. From supporting education to providing daily school lunches at a rural Maasai school, our work has always been centred around creating opportunities for future generations.
This commitment is a natural extension of Bila Kofia. A portion of every stay goes directly towards supporting these ongoing projects, allowing our guests to become part of something bigger during their time on the island.
